Our spiral duct fabrication covers round and flat-oval profiles in diameters from 4 inches to 60 inches. Every section is formed with continuous lock-seam construction that provides an airtight seal without the need for additional sealant at longitudinal joints, reducing installation time and improving system performance.

Lock-seam spiral duct is manufactured by helically winding a strip of metal and mechanically locking the seam along its length. This construction method produces ductwork that is inherently stronger than longitudinal-seam alternatives, allowing for lighter gauge material while maintaining structural integrity.

The continuous seam acts as an integrated stiffener, meaning spiral duct typically does not require external reinforcement in the same pressure classes where rectangular duct would need cross-breaking or angle reinforcement. We fabricate the complete range of spiral duct fittings to support your installation. Standard fittings include elbows (adjustable and fixed-angle), tees, wyes, laterals, reducers, saddle taps, and end caps. All fittings feature gasketed slip connections for fast, airtight assembly on site.

Our flat-oval spiral duct is available for installations where vertical clearance is limited. Flat-oval profiles provide the airflow advantages of round duct while fitting into tighter spaces than standard round diameters.

All spiral ductwork from Metal Men Mechanical meets SMACNA standards for round industrial duct construction. We fabricate to both Class 1 (positive pressure) and Class 2 (negative pressure) specifications, with seam and joint integrity verified through our quality control process.
